Develop cryogenic CMOS ASICs for quantum device control. Reduce hardware cost and eliminate wiring bottlenecks, enabling scalable next-generation quantum technologies.

Controlling quantum devices currently relies on room-temperature electronics, leading to significant hardware costs and a wiring bottleneck that hinders scaling to larger systems. Addressing this challenge, Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) built with reliable CMOS technology are developed to operate at cryogenic temperatures. This approach aims to reduce the cost associated with control hardware and enable operation on a larger number of quantum devices, overcoming the limitations of conventional room-temperature setups. Originating from Delft University of Technology, this effort leverages a strong academic foundation and demonstrated prototypes to deliver products that facilitate the next step in quantum device control.
